South Korean baritone Jusung Gabriel Park emerged to the world after winning the Third Prize winner of Operalia 2021
and in the same year, representing his country at BBC Cardiff Singer of the World.
He is also the Second Prize winner of International Helmut Deutsch Competition in 2023.
He is current a member of the Wiener Staatsoper Opernstudio for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 season,
and he is engaged to stay as an Ensemble member of the Wiener Staatsoper after the Opernstudio.
Recent and forthcoming engagements include concert tour of Beethoven Nínth Symphony
with Milan Symphony Orchestra in Italy and Switzerland; Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn in Concertgebouw
with pianist Juilius Drake; singing Rinaldo in Detroit Opera singing the role of Argante; Ninth Symphony
with Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Jaap van Zweden; the title role in Mendelssohn’s Elias
with the Bayerischen Rundfunk Chor & Orchestra; singing a Liederabend in Festwochen Gmunden
with pianist Helmut Deutsch; Fenicio Ermione and Idraote Armida with the Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad,
where he was awarded the International Bel Canto Prize; the title role in Le nozze di Figaro
and Leporello Don Giovanni at Theater Rudolstadt in collaboration with Thüringer Symphoniker Orchestra;
and performing in an Opera Gala Concert with the Nürnberg Symphoniker.
In 2021, Jusung took part in The Académie du Festival Aix-en-Provence and the International Meistersinger Akademie (IMA) under the guidance of Edith Wiens.
Jusung studied voice at the Yonsei University and mdw, under the tutelage of Chang-gon Kim, Kwang-dong Kim, Hei-kyung Hong, Florian Boesch and Margit Klaushofer.
